Deep Tissue: This style of slow, deep strokes utilizes friction to lengthen muscle fibers. It is used to release chronic patterns of tension. Through the detection of stiff or painful areas of muscles we can work slowly into deeper layers. We will also use breathing in conjunction with the manual techniques to release muscular congestion.

Hot Stone Massage!: Smooth flat lava basalt stones are heated in water in a large crock pot. The stones are used to massage the muscles and strategiclly placed on areas of tension like joints and tendons. The heat of the stones also softens and opens these fibers at a very deep level. Many people say it is if they can feel the stones 'pulling the tightness from their body'. Together the hot stones with strong strokes really sculpt the muscles. The heat also stimulates circulation which is great for detoxification. Hot Stone Massage aids post exercise recovery, internal cleansing, strengthens the immune system, calms the central nervous system, and really makes sore muscles feel like their melting.

Swedish: Swedish massage technique is a relaxing set of flowing strokes that increases circulation, removes metabollic waste, and calms the mind. I use only pure organic food grade massage oil.

Craniosacral Therapy: This is a very gentle non-invasive technique which allows our bodies own natural mechanisms to improve the functioning of our brain and spinal chord. This helps to relieve mental, emotional, and physical stress, promote good health, and raise resistance to disease.

Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi: Using forearms and knuckles to massage the muscles, this is more than just a massage technique. Calling on the Healing Spirit of the Universe to open the way and restore harmony and balance, this is also a spiritual practice.

Aromatherapy: Pure organic therapeutic grade essential oils can be blended into the massage oil for any treatment. The oil molecules enter the body through inhalation and absorption into the skin. Lavender, for example, is detectable in the blood stream 20 minutes after application to the skin. Essential oils besides being delightful can alter moods, calm the mind, and promote good health.

Trigger Point Therapy: This is a technique used to alleviate muscle spasms and cramping. Like that 'kink' that worsens when aggravated. The goal is to locate and deactivate these trigger points. Pressure applied to these areas will usually be very tender, which can be momentarily painful but is brings great relief. People with acute or chronic pain are likely to benefit greatly from this technique.

Reflexology: Reflex areas on the feet and hands are linked to areas and organs of the body in that zone. Congestion or tension in any part of the foot is mirrored in that part of the body. While working on the feet Reflexology helps to heal the body as a whole as well as relieve prevailing symptoms.

Sports Massage: Offers athletes specific localized work to muscle groups to aid in performance and speed recovery. These can be shorter sessions.

Pregnancy, Birth, & Postnatal Massage: Massage techniques to support the changes in the mothers body involved with the birth process. Massage can help ease the common discomfort of pregnancy, shorten birth time, and help the body to recover after the birth more quickly.

Infant Massage Lessons: I can teach you a wonderful routine for giving your infant a massage. Infant massage is proven to help speed babies weight gain, neurological developement, and strengthen the immune system. Babies that are massaged daily are healthier, happier and smarter. It is also a great way to spend quality time with your baby. I can show you a fifteen minute massage that you will both love!
